Four Broadgate, the award winning financial services PR agency, has been appointed by Euromoney Indices, the index compilation and calculation business, to provide PR support for the launch of a new strategy for its index business.
As part of the strategy Euromoney has launched the EMIX Europe Index series which comprises a range of liquid large and small cap equities with license fees 50% less than its rivals. The index is initially targeted at fund managers in the institutional sector.
Sui Chung, Managing Director at Euromoney Indices, says: “We chose to work with Four Broadgate due to the team’s extensive knowledge of the index business and pensions sector and its financial media contacts. Four Broadgate demonstrated that it can provide strategic communications support and creative PR campaigns targeting our core market..”
Mark Knight, Director at Four Broadgate, says: “This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a new approach for the index sector. The cost savings and transparency investors can achieve with Euromoney Indices will result in asset managers assessing their index providers.”
The account will be managed by Four Broadgate’s Mark Knight, Sally Moore, Vikki Thomas and Gilly Kyle.

About Euromoney Indices
Euromoney Indices (EI) is the index compilation and calculation business of the London listed global financial and business media company Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC.
EI was originally established by James Capel & Co. (Stockbrokers) in 1987 as an index advisory business serving passive equity investment managers. In 1999, James Capel became part of HSBC Bank plc and the team became known as HSBC Quantitative Techniques, expanding its services into calculating indices across the FX, rates and credit asset classes.
In September 2013, as part of a larger restructuring of HSBC, the Quantitative Techniques business was acquired by Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC and renamed Euromoney Indices.
